Disney, Microsoft among possible Twitter suitors: reports

(Reuters) – Walt Disney Co and Microsoft Corp join a list of potential suitors for Twitter Inc, according to media reports on Monday. Twitter shares were up 2.23 percent at $23.36 in after-market trading. Daimler will deepen its European footprint in the ride-hailing business when its MyTaxi smartphone app unveils an all-share merger deal with U.K. rival Hailo as soon as Tuesday, three sources briefed on the matter told Reuters. It is the latest push by traditional carmakers to enter the taxi ride hailing services market dominated by technology companies like Uber [UBER.UL]. In similar deals earlier this year, Volkswagen took a $300 million stake in Gett and General Motors invested $500 million into Lyft.

By Chine Labbé PARIS (Reuters) – Analysis of data seized by investigators in last week's raid of Google's Paris headquarters could possibly take years, French financial prosecutor Eliane Houlette said on Sunday. Dozens of French police raided Google's offices on Tuesday, escalating an investigation over suspected tax evasion. “We have collected a lot of computer data,” Houlette said in an interview with Europe 1 radio, TV channel iTele and newspaper Le Monde, adding that 96 people took part in the raid.
